i am running tether on an iphone 4 (v 5.0.1) and a windows 7 pc. i cannot get a stable connection that lasts more than 10-15 minutes. obviously this is totally unacceptable.
i have been back and forth by email with tether support for more than two weeks and this issue is nowhere close to being resolved.
anyone having the same issue?
iphone tether runs for 10-15 minutes, then dies...

Do you change applications on the iPhone when Tether is running?
If applications are changed when Tether is running this will cause Tether to stop working.

Absolutely not! Why would I? I am trying to use my laptop! Also, no phone calls, texts, etc. The iPhone is just laying there untouched.

Hello I am having a similar problem on the iPhone. I tried mimicking my browsers user agent string to match the iPhone one. That did not work. Neither app shows an error, the speed simply drops to 0. The laptop side app shows that a packet a second or so is sent and received, but the data sent and data received fields stay static. I have to restart both apps which gives me a great connection for a few more minutes until it stalls again.
Is there anything else I can try to fix this?

What version of iTether on your Mac are you running? You can check by looking at the lower right-hand side of the Tether application.
